District football Beats Deland 28-14 in Nationally Televised Game on ESPN2

The Sandalwood football team got  the best of Deland, avenging two prior losses with a huge win on national TV. The Saints, with several DI prospects, took over the game as Sandalwood never trailed.

The Lady Saint (19-7) beat Mandarin 3-1 in the District 1-8A championship match. They will host Paul J. Hagerty (Oviedo) on Tuesday, Oct 30. The Saints were led by Valeria Pozdnyakova finished with 21 kills, 14 digs and seven aces and Anna Tarpley with 23 kills.

| New NCAA Eligibility Requirements |

There have been several updates to the policies and procedures relating to high school athletics that we want to bring to your attention. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) updated their initial eligibility requirements for student athletes beginning August 1, 2016. In addition, two statutory changes specific to high school athletics in Florida occurred this legislative session.
